A brushed stainless steel case Heuer Military Flyback chronograph wristwatch. This is an exceptional example of the Heuer made watches made for the German Air Force (part of the German armed forces or "Bundeswehr" hence the nickname). There are a number of different dial versions of this watch. This is the smaller Heuer logo, larger thicker "3H" red logo, with small "T" logo above the six o'clock position. The dial is in superb original condition with original lime throughout dial and hands. It has toned in well, and is great looking. The case and rotating bezel are in exceptional condition throughout, with very little signs of wear, which given its military use is uncommon. The Bund marking on the back of the case are present, as is the serial "1550 SG" between the lugs. The watch is powered by then Valjoux 230 calibre manual wind movement. The correct unsigned brushed crown is present, as are the long stem chronograph pushers. These were made so in order for the pilot wearing gloves could easily operate the functions. The watch was made circa late 1960's. This represents a great opportunity to own one of these stunning looking and distinctive military watches in superb condition.
