To become of a part of Jaeger-LeCoultre's coveted Master Control series, watches are tested for 1000 hours in extreme conditions including categories of temperatures, shocks and vibrations, and must pass through magnetic fields of 5000 amperes per meter before being offered for sale.
JLC created this classically elegant Master Control Date watch to pay homage to the idea of the classic mens dress watch. Its simple timeless silver dial has faceted dart markers and outer raised dot minute track that truly harkens back to JLC's vintage heritage.
Powering the watch is JLC's extremely high grade caliber 889 engine with 36 jewels, 21K gold rotor, and extremely fine finishing. It has six adjustments.
It is all-original and presents in gorgeous condition. The case is just short of perfect mint - on the wrist it presents as mint. The dial has the slightest bit of toning from the luminous in the hands that is almost suggestive a very slight shadow near the seconds post. Were if not for that the complete watch would present as 98% like new. The sapphire crystal are all mint. The current strap shows signs of use but is very serviceable. Accompanying the watch is a brand new identical JLC strap that could be installed to make the watch present nearly like new.
Our Master Watchmaker has performed any needed servicing and replaced all of the waterproofing gaskets with new seals.
For the finishing touch we have fully detailed it making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Accompanying the watch are its inner and outer boxes, certificate, and booklets with holder - a complete set.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function and and a new C.O.T. timing certificate.
